Nomenzo eBooks began as a dream shared by two friends, Eva and Thomas, who met during their law studies. During their university years, they discovered a common frustration: legal and business knowledge was often difficult to access and buried in overly complex documents. They envisioned a future where critical information could be easily and effectively understood by everyone.

After graduating, they both entered the corporate world, but the frustration lingered. One rainy afternoon, during a coffee break in a small café named "Nomenzo" in an old district of Amsterdam, they had a breakthrough. The café, known for its inspiring ambiance, became their haven for brainstorming sessions.

Eva and Thomas decided to start a company that would create accessible eBooks on complex topics such as legal issues, business operations, and compliance. Their goal was to simplify difficult concepts and present them in a practical way that professionals and small business owners could readily apply. The café that played a pivotal role in shaping their vision inspired the name: Nomenzo eBooks.

In the early days, they worked tirelessly on their first product, an eBook about the WKA (Dutch Chain Liability Act). To their surprise, it became a success, as it translated complex matters into plain language and included practical examples. This success gave them the confidence to expand their offerings to other fields.
